The position


As Software Sales Executive you will enable our enterprise and government customers to move their research, development, and business objectives forward. As a trusted advisor, you’ll develop new value for Zapata by helping our clients create roadmaps to solve difficult and today’s intractable business problems. You’ll bring a consultative selling approach, become a specialist for your customers by expertly packaging Zapata’s unique capabilities to meet customer needs. Your role is mission-critical and will help to establish Zapata as the premier quantum solutions partner by:

  • Developing deep relationships with our customers while getting to know their business, markets, and the challenges they face.
  • Crafting creative solutions to help customers realize their goals.
  • Creating winning outcomes for both Zapata and our customers.
  • Demonstrating value so that customers choose Zapata solutions.


This is a sales revenue-generating role. The successful Software Sales Representative will thrive in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, and will ideally have inside sales experience working in a matrix-managed environment.

 

You will report to the VP of Business Development and work alongside Zapata’s quantum scientists, researchers, programmers, and solutions engineers.


Skills & Requirements


  • Experience developing global fortune 500 account relationships with a proven track record of large-scale enterprise sales. Capability and drive to meet or exceed challenging sales targets. 
  • Superior presentation & sales pitch skills; demonstrated ability to present and explain (quantum computing) technology and related software to both non-technical and technical/scientific audiences. Experience persuading and negotiating to create desired outcomes.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a multifaceted environment where initiative is expected and rewarded.
  • Own opportunity and quote creation in focused accounts and territory as appropriate tracking all activity in company CRM (Salesforce.com). Develop a sales pipeline, and forecast all revenue, by effectively following the sales process and managing all opportunities in CRM
  • Preferred Masters or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, or related field.
